            With the blessings of Jagadguru SriSriSri Bharathi Theertha Maha Swamy and many other Sadgurus, after a lapse of everal years, a rare and composite 13 day “APTHORYAMAM” Mahagni Chayana Poorvaka Shroutha Somayaga and “MAHASOURAM”, the “ ULTIMATE and SUPREME MAHA YAGAS” being facilitated by PRAJAHITHA SEVA SAMITHI, Hyderabad for the welfare and wellbeing of the entire living beings in the universe in general and humanity in particular. These Mahayagas which are aimed for the “Peace and Prosperity of entire Universe” will be facilitated from 20th January 2015 to 1st February 2015, at Mayuri Sarovar Lay out, GARGEYAPURAM - 518452, near 10th K.M. point, KURNOOL -NANDIKOTKUR Road, Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Veda Parayana and a series of HOMAS will continue through all the 13 days EVENT..

            With the inspiration of  Brahmasri. Kesapragada Hariharnadha Sarma, who was popularized as “BAHU YAJNA KARTHA” who performed 16 Mahayagas continuously in the LUNAR MONTH  “KAARTHIKAM” ever since 1995 till 2010; organized and facilitated “ATHIRATHRAM” the supreme SOMAYAGA at BHADRACHALAM from 21.04.2012 to 02.05.2012 and  the Supreme SMARTHA YAGA “ATHIRUDRAM” at MURAMALLA from 13.02.2013 to 25.02.2013 as “EVER REMEMBERED MIGHTY EVENTS” in the recent centuries  history of “ANDHRA PRADESH”,  and the Trustees concluded to organize these Maha Yagas.

The uniqueness of the above described “APTHORYAMAM” Mahagni Chayana Poorvaka Shroutha  Somayaga is an offer to divine NATURE (Prakruthi) for providing us seasonal rains,   seasonal crops, pulses, fruits, cotton etc. and to save us from calamities, floods, famine etc. ,   and MAHASOURAM, The Ultimate & Supreme  MAHA YAGA” is to invoke the divine blessings of the planetary Lord Surya (SUN) Nakshatra and Rasi Devatas ( Lords of constellations) for good health, wealth, peace and prosperity apart from timely Vedic and all other Studies, rituals, marriage etc. For all those born under the concerned Stars (Nakshatra).  Upasana and Homa for each Nakshatra will be performed by the priests for and on behalf of the participants and the participants are allowed to sit in the rows for SANKALPAM  and will be called for Pradakshina of the Homa Kunda after Poornaahuthi is completed. Homa Prasadam will be distributed to the participants.  

            The present way of life has led to difficulty in observing Swadharma by all. The Vedic scriptures emphasize the need to perform various types of Yagnas/Yagas for securing timely rains and human welfare. Nityaagnihothris are will be entrusted to perform Yagnas/Yagas to propitiate the Deities, who in turn bless us with timely and seasonal requirement for the humanity. The scriptures are emphatic that the celestial Gods are to be pleased by the performance of Yagnas and Yagas. Nearly 400 Yagna/Yagass have been prescribed for the individual aspirations as well as for the welfare of all His creations at large.  Thus the Yagnas/Yagas bring forth peace and prosperity mutually.

During the 13 days of the Yaga, chanting of Rik,Yajur, Sama and Adhravana Vedas will be done by the traditional Veda Pundits and scholars coming from various parts of India besides chanting Shadanga Parayanam  by the very highly qualified Veda pundits in all 4 Vedas from 20.01.2015 which would bring forth peace, virtue and tranquility in these days of unrest and disturbance in all walks of life.

Yajamana & Ritwiks : The Pundits who will preside over the celebrations during this period will consist of Vedic scholars., These Yagas will be performed by Nitya Trethagnihotri (daily fire worshipper) VEDA BRAHMA Brahmasri. KRISHNA BHATTAR SOMAYAJI of Shimoga, Karnataka,   Brahmasri. Keshava Avadhani of Mattur, Karnataka and their learned and disciplined team consisting 16 + 20 for Shroutha- Maha Somayagas and Brahmasri. Narendra Kapre (Satara, Maharastra) would lead the team for Mahasoura Yaga, under the overall Supervision and Stewardship of “BAHU YAGNAKARTHA” Brahmasri. KESAPRAGADA HARIHARANADHA SARMA.

About Yaga Place: The yaga place was namedafter Gargeyapuram as Gargeya Maharshi has made Thapassu in this village during his journey to Srisailam.

It is the oldest surviving Vedic ritual in the world. The ritual invokes Vedic mantras to usher in universal harmony and to change the present worst atmosphere; maintaining the balance in polluted environment.
